BEYOND THE PRETTY FACE
WORKSHOPS
WORKSHOP 1: Mirror-Mirror: "Creating a Positive Body Image"
The "Mirror, Mirror: Creating a Positive Body Image" session enables young women to see their inherent beauty as a result of their distinctive and purposeful creation.
The girls will start off by discussing how the media views beauty. They will look into newspapers, magazines, movies, and other forms of media. Participants will be guided through the process of how images get Photoshopped into production-ready photographs. Girls will learn via discussion that the "beauty" they see is unreal and that our individual physical beauty and character are what truly make us lovely. The objective is to aid participants in differentiating between one's natural physical beauty and physical attractiveness as perceived by society.
Participants will go through activities to assist them in developing a positive body image after they have gained trust in the truth of social media. The workshop concludes with the signature "Mirror, Mirror" worksheet and activity.

WORKSHOP 2: Build your beauty: "What makes you beautiful?"
The "Build your beauty: What makes you beautiful?" session teaches girls about their "real" beauty and serves as a gentle reminder that you get to decide what beautiful is to you.
Each participant will create a custom flower of their own! They will be asked to decorate the flower to represent their personality, characteristics, hobbies, etc. to show their true beauty.
The participants will be given exercises to help them understand that their own physical characteristics and character traits make up their "true" beauty. The exercises, worksheets, and chats in the lessons emphasize how to recognize your own beauty. The workshop concludes with the signature "Hello, Beautiful" and "Beautiful Me" worksheet.

Examples:
Students in a 5th grade science class in North Carolina learned about the periodic table and how it works. All of the components on this periodic chart combine to generate the genuine shape of what we consider beauty in nature. All of the beauty you see is the result of the smallest of details. Things that are so small that the human eye cannot see them. We then used the worksheet, PowerPoint, and activities to help students identify the aspects that make up these stunning natural settings. As a result, the students will comprehend that everything that defines them as individuals is defined as beautiful.
(English) - Numerous literary prose and poetry pieces have illuminated the concept of beauty. Different authors have approached the subject of beauty in various ways. While some have used physical traits to describe beauty, others have taken a more philosophical approach, believing that emotions, personality, and originality are the true criteria of beauty.
Literature tells us that life is beautiful and that we must open our eyes to nature's goodness in order to live a full and loving life that is aware of and appreciative of the world around us. The majority of literature associates aesthetic attractiveness with women. It is not always about the characters' visual look, but rather their inside characteristics, as they are appealing for their courage, convictions, kindness, and morale. Helen of Troy (from Homer's Iliad), Cleopatra (from Shakespeare's Antony & Cleopatra), Jane Eyre (from Charlotte Brontë), Tess Durbeyfield (from Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles), Lara (from Boris Pasternak's Doctor Zhivago), and Anna (from Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina) are other examples.
